Mark grew up in San Diego and attended the University of San Diego where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor degree in Chemistry. While attending USD, he took multiple courses in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law.

Mark is admitted to practice law in the State of California and is a registered patent attorney with the US Patent & Trademark Office.
